YOUR LOST LETTERS TRAIL

The printing legacy

Explore from your existing stop

This hand-press encounter belongs to stop 01 at the arrival arches. Meet Munshiji in the garden arcade for a second encounter.

THE FIRST IMPRESSION

Words become a page.

Raised type receives ink. Paper meets the printing surface under pressure. An impression carries the words into another reader’s hands.

The moving platen illustrates the pressing action. This pilot does not simulate the complete printing process.

Try it at Le Press

Stand still in a clear viewing area, away from doors and passing shoppers.
Tap “Place the press in your space” on a supported phone and allow camera access when asked.
Move the phone slowly to find the floor, then follow the phone’s placement instructions.

The camera opens only after you choose AR. Our page does not record or upload camera footage.

Floor-placement pilot. You choose where the press appears. It is not yet fixed to the corridor or a surveyed position. Its size follows the existing illustrative model, not a measured original machine.

AR needs a supported device and browser. iPhone Quick Look shows a static press; the pressing animation is available in this page’s 3D view and supported WebXR sessions.
