LE PRESS · HAZRATGANJ, LUCKNOW
Shopping in Hazratganj.
Craft meets contemporary.
From Lucknow’s Chikankari to the sarees of Banaras: discover clothing, handwork and design at Le Press, with each partner’s only Lucknow store in one historic setting.

Shopping in Hazratganj,
with time to discover.
Le Press brings contemporary Indian labels and independent design houses into the restored Newal Kishore Press campus. A shopping visit can move between embroidered clothing, handwoven textiles, jewellery and objects for the home, with a café stop along the way. The courtyards and gardens make room to slow down between stores.
Our partners’ only Lucknow stores are here at Le Press. Some are national brands; others are intimate, founder-led studios. Browse the complete brand directory to find the right collection and contact the store about current availability.
Lucknow’s Chikankari.
Begin with Nandini Agarwal Chikankari, where Lucknow’s embroidery tradition takes shape in contemporary clothing. The brand describes a process that moves from chappai, or tracing the design, through hand embroidery and finishing.
Explore the detail of stitches and the character of fabrics such as georgette, Chanderi and organza. Ask the team about the work on a particular garment, its fit and care; those details are part of choosing a piece you will wear often.

Sarees of Banaras.
A contemporary conversation.
Kaushyam — Kausheyam Banaras brings handwoven Banaras textiles to its 2,000 sq ft signature experience store. The label explores sarees alongside contemporary pairings such as corsets, waistcoats and jackets, opening up different ways to wear a woven tradition.
Take time to consider the fall of a saree, its colour in daylight and how you want to style it. For a wedding, celebration or everyday wardrobe, speak to the store about the pieces currently available and any fitting requirements.
Block prints, colour and everyday clothing.
Kilol offers a route into hand-block-printed clothing and home textiles, including quilts and dohars. A carved block and the rhythm of repeated printing give cloth its distinctive pattern. Bagh India adds Chanderi, Kota and cotton collections shaped by print and embroidery.
For contemporary wardrobes, explore Nicobar and Mulmul. Occasion dressing has its own voices at Musara by Sadhvi Suri and VMDS by Vishal Mehra; Shawlkaari brings a focus on pashmina and Kashmiri craft.
The finishing touches.
And the things you live with.
Discover jewellery at Tribe Amrapali and Ministry of Good Souls, handcrafted footwear at Cinderella Shoes, and fragrances at NASO Profumi. These are individual stops to explore in their own right, as well as ways to complete a look.
For your home, visit India Circus by Krsnaa Mehta, Skyy Living and South of Indus. Maison Mahogany and MN Design Co. by Garima Agarwal bring furniture and interior design perspectives to the campus.
A thoughtful shopping visit
Bring questions about materials, craftsmanship, care and repair. Choosing well, caring for a garment and returning to makers connects the pleasure of shopping with a longer relationship to the things we own. Read about craft, community and the CFCPD manifesto, or plan a coffee or dining stop around your visit.
